Many of the emails I get from readers seeking advice about job hunting and networking. The best advice I can give students looking for a graduate school is figure out what you want to do first, then look for someone who is doing it. Job hunting can be more complicated because lots of companies or institutions might have research programs, or be hiring people for positions that suit your skills or interests. How can you be sure you've made the best match? Do you have experiences to share, or advice to give?
