Definition:

Ethical issues as they pertain to biology and the study of biology and medicine.

The study of the ethical, social, legal, philosophical and other issues arising in biological and medical research, health care and other areas of biotechnology. Ethics topics in biotechnology might include the safety of GMOs, cloning, stem cell research, drug trials, availability, distribution and use of pharmaceuticals, xenotransplantation, and the safety of nanoparticles.
