From Paul Diehl:
I have always been interested in how new discoveries and developments in life science research can be used to better understand and solve real world problems. Fortunately, I have been able to pursue a career where I can watch—and sometimes be involved in—some of the first applications of the newest discoveries and inventions. It is a fast moving and technically challenging field but it's exciting to get a glimpse of what's just down the road almost in reach.
