This fall California voters have a choice to require food manufacturers to place a conspicuous label on food that was made with genetically engineered organisms (GMOs). While there are number of vocal groups that have concerns about GMOs, the question of labeling GMO-containing food is actually a little different than the fight over whether GM food is good or bad. Even if you believe the potential health risk from eating GM foods are negligible, you might still think that people have a right to know if the food is genetically modified or not.
