DNA11 is a novel Canadian company that makes works of art from your own DNA. Just swab your cheek and send them a sample, and the company will create a unique piece of art to hang in your livingroom. The creations are colorful blown-up photographs of the agarose gel that is run after amplification of your DNA by PCR. I am completely in love with the idea, pioneered by the company that also offers fingerprint and kiss portraits. They even let you create combination DNA portraits, with your DNA and that of loved ones, and, this biotechnology product can also be produced on a large-scale (to hang over the couch) or on a "mini", benchtop (dresser or desktop)-scale size.
