Biotech's Roots

The field of biotechnology is often thought to be a fairly new, rapidly growing area of research and development. Modern discoveries in genetic research have resulted in an exponential increase in the rate of advancement in this fast-paced industry. However, if you look back over time, human-kind has been using biotechnology for thousands of years and a series of progressive, innovative discoveries have brought us to where we are now.
