Case Studies
Wednesday March 7, 2007
One of my main objectives as your Biotech/ Biomedical Guide is to provide some case studies of biotech startups describing background information such as how the companies got started, what products initiated the startup, where they got financing and where they are now in terms of collaborations, products and revenues. In particular, I like to keep my eyes open for companies that are breaking new ground in areas of research that might lead to more effective treatments, or even cures, to previously incurable diseases and those that seriously decrease the quality of life or life expectancies of those afflicted. My latest case study was on GeoVax and development of a vaccine for HIV, thanks to a lead from one of my readers. I welcome other suggests and encourage you to check back frequently for more news on new technologies and the companies behind them.
