Biofuels in Biotech

Biofuels are a topic very close to my heart. Most of my personal work experience in the biotech industry has been in the environmental sector, and coming from Guelph (Ontario, Canada) I have also been highly influenced by the cutting edge research in agriculture and food science. I love the idea of creating a greener environment and cutting back on our use of fossil fuels, while providing new options for farmers in a weak market. I, for one, am pulling for research to enhance the quality of biofuels and efficiency of vehicles that use them, while reducing prices to a more competitive level. I was reminded of this topic when I came across an article on bioethanol production in Brazil, while preparing my article "Five Reasons to Consider Biotech".
